Absolutely fantastic!!!!!!!
Our weekend started in Edinburgh on Friday night, White Noise opened -
bloody loud - but not a bad gig for their first show together. Then the
excitment mounted when the Heep chant began and then bang, Blood Red
Roses. Heep's performance was unbelievable the guys really worked hard
and we could see that they too were enjoying it as they could feel the
response from the fans. This performance was stunning. After this show
we got backstage to meet the guys who posed for photo's and chatted even
though they had just come off stage. - What a bunch.
On to Carlisle!! We really wondered if this could compare with the
previous night's concert but once again they excelled and the show was
fantastic. We were surprised they could get the sound so perfect in two
totally different sized venues but somehow they managed to get it spot
on each time. I have never heard July Morning played so tight - Trevor's
bass playing was second to none, if there is a better rock bass player
in the world I don't know who it is! We also had a chat with the guys
after the show and everyone was still smiling on their way home. A HUGE
thank you for this weekend to everyone and a special thanks to Steve and
Charlie. Roll on MBP when it all starts again - can't wait.

A really cracking gig with a terrific 16
track set list.....think the inclusion of when the war is over was a
masterstroke, just settle the gig down, then finish with some of the
classics like lady in black, July morning and the shortest live version
of gypsy i have ever heard.........band were really good tonight ,trevor's
bass was mind blowing, getting better with age......roll on carlisle
tomorrow

Hi Folks,
Just wanted to say what a great gig it was last night. This was my first
Heep gig (although I have been a fan since the mid 70's). I thoroughly
enjoyed it!
Met Bernie after the show - what a lovely guy!
Will definitely be back to see them next time they play Scotland.
Kind Regards,
Alison. |

Brilliant gig, and what
a venue, fairly small and the placed was packed. Only gripe about the
night was the times the gig started at, I mean the support band were on
at 7.10, I only got there at 7.40 in time for the last 2 songs. From
what I heard they sounded very good. Heep came on about 8.30 and were
all done by 10.05.
Highlights were a rousing version of between 2 worlds, July morning,
Trevors bass playing simply amazing and Lee knocking 7 bells of sh~t out
of his drums. well done to the sound guys on the night they seemed to
get a good balance and no 1 instrument overshadowed the other.
